As a college student in Athens, Ohio I met two townies and started a band. Originally billed as Dave Tarter and the Plaqueheads we eventually became The Couch Slugs. I left Athens upon graduation (June 1987) and the band went on for a full 20 years. We were a dance/bar band and played a lot of great tunes – James Brown, Talking Heads, Chuck Berry, and so on. Below are a couple of tracks from May 1987.
